The Consumer Electronics Show spans 1.9 million square feet at the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center and The Venetian with endless halls and levels. What better way for CES to move people to everything there is to see than a scavenger hunt? What is better than that? Oh yeah, a scavenger hunt using Bluetooth® Smart technology. The hunt had people scouring the show for nine hidden iBeacons. The app alerted players when they arrived near an iBeacon and then the distance to it. The app notified players they were getting close to an iBeacon on their phones with a distance countdown, as you get closer.
